This trip to Cozumel was amazing. Casa Del Mar resort was not the fanciest, but it was very nice and clean, the staff was wonderful and the food was amazing. This was my first scuba trip. I learned a lot and had a fantastic time with some great people!  I will definitely be going again!!

Cozumel October 2025

The people, the accommodations, and the dive experience were all more than I'd hoped. Already hoping to return. 

Well organized,  fun trip! Brendan was a great leader, always had plans and back-up plans.  This trip was organized in a way we could meet other Divers and get to know them.  Have been to hotel before and love their food and drink service. Dive shop was very attentive and accommodating and Divemasters were very friendly and professional.  

I had an incredible time!  Jin and and Gary where excellent hosts!  They are both very helpful.  I look forward to being able to join y'all again!

exceeded expectations in every way from the people in our ASUBA group, to the people at the resort.  The dive professionals emphasized and role modeled safety first, critical.  We had fun and enjoyed every minute.

Cozumel April 2025

Greatest trip of our lives.  Thank you Wetravel Ascuba and Brandon and all the Ascuba Fiji trip travelers for the greatest experience.

FIJI 2025

Signing up for this trip was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'd even say life-changing. 

January is summer is in the southern hemisphere so it was a welcome relief to leave the US winter to warm, tropical surroundings. Despite the travel time jet lag, I spent the majority of that week diving (2 cylinder boat dives plus 1 - 2 shore dives for 5 days or more if I wanted). The dive shop is very professionally managed which is evident from the top down. Rental equipment is available however at minimum you'll need a SCUBA regulator and buoyancy compensator device (BCD). The dive shop prioritizes safety and despite the "cathedral" *tiger shark dive(s)... I didn't get a sense of danger since many safeguards were put in place. I had a great time seeing what's been described as an extension of the Great Barrier Reef in this corner of the South Pacific. 

*You can choose more than one shark dive but that may cost extra. It also depends on ad hoc scheduling based on conditions.   

There's too much to mention but in a nutshell... I ate restaurant quality meals (comparable to a good local steakhouse), went swimming in the pool, and enjoyed group activities such as a village tour,  seeing fire walkers, fire dancers, live music, and a local choir also sang for our group. There was plenty to do but I also enjoyed doing nothing. 

The surroundings will allow you to lose track of time. The resort itself is well maintained, the rooms are clean, and entire resort possesses an almost zen-like environment. In my opinion, the Beqa Lagoon Beach Resort is a gorgeous retreat that's a far better version of home away from home. The Fijians were very gracious, hard working, and accommodating hosts. You get a sense of appreciation knowing that Fijians might be impoverished by US standards but they're extremely grateful for what they have and they're optimistic because they're mainly focused on the present moment.

Cozumel 2024 September

We had a great time. Brendan is an excellent Dive leader.  Always looking out for us divers and making sure we are all OK and having a great time.  We had some wonderful food both at the resort and also local favorite restaurants.  The Dive team and boat crews are amazing, so helpful and fun!  The diving is drift diving so it’s very easy for beginners as well.  

This is one of my favorite scuba diving spots! You feel welcomed and safe as soon as you arrive. The campsites are easy to manage and just gives us divers a place to come together to do what we love to do. Thank you!

We had a great ti e.  The company, food and dives were great ! 

Mammoth lake simply is not a 5 star destination.  These are easy, fun dives to work on skills and explore the many items in the lake.  Dive timing was fluid depending you who you buddy up with; giving you the opportunity to dive as much as you wanted to.  The Ascuba team was attentive as always.  Food was good and there was lots of it.  The night dive was a challenge due to the murky water after a day of being stirred up (the lake was full) but the experience of extremely limited visibility was much appreciated.

 Great event by Ascuba Venture dive organization! Safe and fun weekend of diving at Mammouth Lake. Well organized and fun, the event made for some great diving. Great to see all those going through classes! Thanks again!

Although the weather prevented me from certifying along with skills not there yet.   I am pleased with everything and would like to continue perusing ow cert.   I loved Cozumel.  Gary is a super instructor and thank you for all your care for us !

Wrong place we went to Cozumel and not mammoth but I will.   Such a wonderful place Cozumel.  Well organized and very good instructor Gary.   Weather was not on our side but hey more training coming up for us.  I want to come back :).
